About R. Folice Bailey

R. Folice Bailey is a leadership development strategist, certified professional coach, and founder of Focus & Finish, a leadership development firm supporting educators, administrators, organizational leaders, and women professionals seeking clarity, systems alignment, and sustainable performance.

With more than twenty-five years of leadership experience in education and organizational settings, Folice brings deep practical insight into the realities leaders face as responsibility, complexity, and expectations increase. Her career began as an elementary school teacher and progressed through roles including Curriculum Facilitator, Assistant Principal at four high schools, and Principal at two schools. She has also served as a supervisor and administrator for Exceptional Children (EC) programs across multiple schools, developing strong expertise in instructional leadership, compliance, systems implementation, and leadership development at scale.

This breadth of experience shapes her belief that effective leadership is not sustained through effort alone, but through clarity, structure, and intentional systems. Leaders perform at their highest level when expectations are clear, systems are aligned, and development is grounded in real-world practice.

Folice founded Focus & Finish to support leaders and organizations in pursuing excellence through disciplined focus, thoughtful leadership systems, and practical implementation. Through leadership coaching, structured development pathways, and facilitated engagements, Focus & Finish helps leaders reduce overwhelm, strengthen decision-making, and lead with clarity, confidence, and excellence.

Folice holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Lenoir-Rhyne College (1997) and a Master’s degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (2005). She is also a Certified Professional Coach, integrating formal leadership training with reflective, implementation-focused coaching.



Beyond her professional work, Folice values family, meaningful relationships, and creative expression. She is an accomplished singer frequently invited to perform the National Anthem and enjoys traveling, healthy living, photography, and collecting butterfly-themed items as symbols of growth and transformation. These personal values shape her relational, people-centered approach to leadership and development.
